Initial quality(s) : Sickbeard will look for this.
Archive quality(s) : Sickbeard will look for ALL of this.

Initial download : it will look for the best quality it finds in 1 search ! So if SDTV and HDTV are marked ... if it finds them both , it will download the HDTV one.

Example :

Initial quality : SDTV / HDTV
Archive Quality : HDTV / 720p

Sickbeard first downloads a HDTV release , for the ARCHIVE it will STILL search for the 720p , even though you already have the HDTV that you said is also OK.

Initial download : it will look for the best quality it finds in 1 search ! So if SDTV and HDTV are marked ... if it finds them both , it will download the HDTV one.

Sickbeard can not look first for HDTV & if that is not available for something else
But if you set the archived quality higher then the initial quality , then it will look for both & download the best one.
